Here’s a real classic!! It’s mostly in good shape, save for the front panel being very brittle, as often happens with plastic of this age. As a petty workaround, I taped it to the frame for the shots.
The only real work I needed to do with this computer is replacing the very dead BIOS battery with a quadruple AA cell holder, and the typical removing of the previous owner’s data. At the request of my buyer, I kept the original OS otherwise intact, and I also did a couple of upgrades to it. I also lubricated some of the fans in there to help quiet it down somewhat and prolong the fans’ lives. Not bad for an oldie!
The rest of the peripherals shown are ones I’ve actually had for a number of years now, which I’m glad I kept around for this computer! The monitor is a little bit janky on some video modes, but it does nicely at 640×480 as long as you’re careful with the adjustment dials in the back.
